Camping in Beautiful Dorset Countryside
Facilities are basic, but this site is all about relaxing and soaking up the beautiful rolling hills and patchwork of fields all around you, camping on a working livestock farm means there are are always some sheep and cattle in neighbouring fields.
Wild Camping
This is off grid camping offering only tent pitches with no electricity or wifi, Just come and enjoy the peace and tranquillity offered in the small village of Batcombe near Dorchester (DT2 7BG) within the Dorset area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Places to Visit
While the site feels quite remote, the local pub and essentials shop are only a 10 minute drive away, Weymouth is 35 minutes away and the famed Cerne Abbas Giant is 15 minutes away. The historic towns of Sherborne and Dorchester are both 20 minutes away
Enjoy the Views
Choose your own pitch in the 4 acre field to make the most of the views from the camping field and to get the best view of sunset.
Facilities
Facilities on the campsite are basic, unisex portable toilets are provided, along with a hot unisex shower. Cold water is provided from a stand pipe.
The Shower Shed
Enjoy a hot shower in our specially built shower cubicle, the “Shower Shed” supplied by Dart Valley Bespoke from Totnes
Meet the Neighbours
The camping field is on a working livestock farm, the owners are always happy to introduce campers to the calves and lambs next door.
